Antibiotics and Probiotics. Your guts Part 1

As Abraham Maslow said in 1966, "I suppose it is tempting, if the only tool you have is a hammer, to treat everything as if it were a nail." A hammer is not the most appropriate tool for every purpose. Yet a person with only a hammer is likely to try and fix everything using their hammer.

Medical mainstream today treat almost anything with antibiotics. This is their hammer. (Next step after antibiotics fail is surgery.) Wrong or right this how things are today. Regretfully while taking oral antibiotics your intestinal microbiome faces deadly attack from it. If this attack is successful you would loose your good bacteria that protect your guts from bad bacteria. 

There is one very opportunistic bacteria exists in 3/4 of Americans. C.Diff also known as C.Difficile or Clostridium difficile. If your microbiome is healthy C.Diff would not be your problem. But if oral antibiotics killed almost all of your intestinal bacteria, C.Diff would almost alone stay. C.Diff is extremely resistant to antibiotics. Actually C.Diff makes its own antibiotics. Facing no resistance from other intestinal bacteria C.Diff would attack your intestines. Sometime C.Diff can eat through intestinal wall and this can be deadly. In mild C.Diff attack cases you would get very bad diarrhea only. In most cases more antibiotics would be prescribed to you, ironically to fight bacteria that is resistant to antibiotics.

You may also face potential intestinal surgery to remove some infected intestinal parts that do not respond to antibiotics treatment and good chance of death in case of bad case of C.Diff attack. There is also fecal transplant option from medical mainstream in case of bad C.Diff infection. 

Around 500,000 cases of C.Diff infection according to CDC after taking antibiotics in USA alone and about 30,000 C.Diff related death cases each year.

I once knew 19 years old healthy, beautiful and talented young woman who got bad cold, was prescribed oral antibiotics and got typical symptoms of abdominal pain and diarrhea from C.Diff after few days of antibiotics. She went to nearest emergency room at night and got stronger antibiotics for new symptoms. The very same night she passed out from C.Diff toxins while asleep and died. Her autopsy showed that her entire abdomen was full of pus. Her C.Diff became dominant bacteria in her intestines as results of antibiotics treatment and ate through her intestinal walls. She never had a chance. She was the only child of aging parents whose grief I cannot describe. Amazingly if she only ate kefir or yogurt three hours after each dose of antibiotics she would be alive today. Even supermarket yogurt product would provide some limited support against C.Diff dominance. At least you would not die. But this knowledge is never provided by medical mainstream. This is what you suppose to know on your own. Or not.  

Fact: Prescription drugs are the fourth leading cause of death in America, even when "taken as directed."

Obviously home made Coconut Kefir I describe at this site would provide full proof defense against C.Diff and other bad intestinal infections. Potency of home kefir (not from dry packed source) cannot be compared to fast commercial product. Bacteria in kefir produce butyrate in your guts and butyrate is your best intestinal defense against C.Diff and other bad bacteria. Butyrate is a fuel for intestinal defenses. For one cell deep lining of your intestines. 

So what to do if you have to take oral antibiotics? 

To take your chances and to become statistics?  To listen to medical mainstream suggestions that fail you?

The correct answer one - take probiotics. (Another correct answer is below at Part 2)

Your intestines need protection from C.Diff dominance and probiotics are your best, cheap and easy defense. 

Just keep in mind that antibiotics and probiotics do not work well together in your intestines. They would try to negate each other. The correct way of taking probiotics if you have to take antibiotics is at least 2 hours or longer after oral antibiotics. Or to take antibiotics at day time as prescribed and probiotics before you go to sleep.

Fecal transplants (FT): The "super-donor" phenomenon. Your guts Part 3.  

Fecal transplant is becoming normal (and expensive) medical tool against any gut issues lately. This article at link below is very first public in depth discussion. As usual instant gratification approach by fix it all medical method raises more questions than answers.

This FT mostly works despite doctors unable to explain in details of why it works. It was presented to public as perfect fix it all tool. Absolute magic bullet. But lately there are some revelations come out about successful and failed FT and what may influenced results of those FT.

Finally there is a realization of needed genetic compatibility and needed support by diet for transplanted microbiome. Also role of viruses is far from being understood, but there is no doubt now that transplantation of viruses can make it or brake it in FT. 

This search for super procedure to fix magically all issues by having perfect donor is fading away.

Food Pyramid, "bad" cholesterol and more...

We have "wonderful" food pyramid but people get sicker everyday while following those recommendations on what to eat to stay healthy. They are getting sicker instead. Maybe something is wrong with food pyramid? According to most independent studies, everything wrong with our food pyramid.

The president of the American Heart Association, Dr. John Warner, had a heart attack at age of 52.  

So much for living by AHA guidelines. Health guidance that make you sick. 

Our science changed tremendously from 1950s. We got knowledge today of quantum physics with understanding that all particles are connected invisibly for us and by observing any process we influence results. This why person who badly wants to get better, heals better than one who gave up. This explains placebo effect too. And so many other things that medical mainstream denies. Our medical system staid with 1950s mentality. Very limiting, primitive and mechanical explanations of our bodies and our internal processes. Still on cell level at best. With sick dependence on pharmaceutical. No wonder our medical system doesn’t work. We are at beginning of an epidemic.

Actually our health system better be called Decease Management System limited to drugs and surgery. It manages sick people instead of providing health.

The good news is that our level of technology is growing almost exponentially. The bad news that our medical doctors become low level attachments / technicians servicing more sophisticated equipment. They go by reference chart while loosing their intuition, vision and deeper understandings. They require more and more expensive tests and offer you more pills. Like massive chemical medication Ponzi scheme. Two hundred million Americans are taking prescription medications just to deal with the side effects of their other prescription medications.

Your medical practitioner has to follow AMA guidelinesis only and he has no time to spend on you, just on your tests. 

When you go to most doctors, they will only have two solutions to whatever problem you have – drugs or surgery. And since nobody really likes to get cut open, and since drugs are usually the far less expensive choice, they are usually the preferred option.

Despite mounting evidence to the contrary we are treated by medical community as mechanics treat an old car. Simplified, mechanical way for quick fix. Mostly trying to fix symptoms instead of causes by ignoring complexity of our internal processes. Ignoring any side effects. Ignoring most influences of our diet on our health. If every advice we get from medical mainstream is so perfect than why Dementia, Alzheimer's, Multiple Sclerosis or Parkinson became "normal" part of our aging at last decades? And our chances to become a drooling idiot with age, if we are to leave things as they are now with our diets and medicine, are almost 100%. Type 2 diabetes is our new norm in our lifetime. Obesity is our norm for 2/3 of Americans, as things are today. So pretending that things are normal is not an option. You also cannot trust recommendations from CDC, AMA, your doctor and our media. Only politicly correct info from them is allowed and treated as direct revelations from God. Suddenly medical mainstream became a religion. No criticism, no questions, no doubts. And take your medicine. 

Just look at Whole Wheat craze they pushed on us that took over entire world with catastrophic results to our health. (See Whole Wheat tab on this site). Does it remind you about margarine craze not so long ago? And how did it end? And what misery it caused to millions of people who followed it? And doctor recommendations for smoking for relaxation? Only 40 years ago... Things never change. Most mainstream guidelines still harm us. But they create great deal of profit for mainstream. 

Majority at our scientific community including medical scientists became mediocre and hostile to any new knowledge. Unless this knowledge is in technology. They mostly stand together to prevent other points of view and to resist any changes. Falsifying medical research results to meet their point of view are new norm. Only new info allowed on new pharmaceutical pills or new medical procedures like fecal transplant. And even those are done blindly without true understanding why this is working, on what and how it can be avoided. And of course as usual, side effects are ignored completely as any deep understanding of underlying processes. Those "scientists" still mostly do not know even today why and for what we need our spleen or our appendix. So called "unnecessary" organs. Why only 2% of our DNA is active as they call rest 98% of our DNA as junk DNA. Why according to them we only use up to 10% of our brains, probably because they do? What purpose has microbiome in our guts and what role food we eat play in our microbiome variety and ultimately in our health? This list is almost endless... 

But let look on some proof of what I said above and real research on cholesterol 1.3 million cases by 17 doctors in many countries that show people with high "bad" cholesterol (LDL) live longer than people with "normal" cholesterol. And bad cholesterol despite popular knowledge does not cause cardiovascular disease. Surprise. And people who take statin medicine against high cholesterol, as recommended by our doctors, get Alzheimer's disease in about 10 to 15 years... and die out faster(side effects of statins: https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/high-blood-cholesterol/in-depth/statins/art-20045772.) Correlation Does Not Prove Causation... 

"There have been decades of research designed to deceive the public and physicians into believing that LDL causes heart disease, when in fact, it doesn't," said David Diamond, Ph.D., a professor in USF's Departments of Psychology and Molecular Pharmacology & Physiology, and a co-author of the article. "The research that has targeted LDL is terribly flawed. Not only is there a lack of evidence of causal link between LDL and heart disease, the statistical approach statin advocates have used to demonstrate benefits has been deceptive."

Diamond, along with more than a dozen doctors, including cardiologists, from the U.S., Sweden, the United Kingdom, Italy, Ireland, France and Japan, reported that the current narrative that LDL causes CVD is based on "misleading statistics, exclusion of unsuccessful trials and ignoring numerous contradictory observations."

There is similar situation exists with influence of food we eat on our health and our gut bacteria role in our life. There are well validated research using latest technologies exist. With evidence that can be verified and replicated. Those studies mostly ignored by medical mainstream and have no influence on any monopoly of medical mainstream knowledge. Society at large not even aware of them. Those studies contradict established knowledge on our health and diet. While following on those studies I found few books based on them. First I found hard evidence that ignored by mainstream in multiple independent studies and finally I found few books that are based on those studies. Like The Plant Paradox by Steven Gundry. Who even recommends reading and understanding it first before making any decisions. Not just blindly to follow it as many other authors do. 

No knowledge is absolute. What is self evident today may be not so self evident tomorrow with deeper understanding of processes involved. This is not a religion and open mind is needed to make your own decisions of what to do in your very unique case and what is needed for your body to function at its best. Or not, as my teacher used to say. But at least you should have your access to the latest evidence as needed today in order to make the best decisions concerning your health. And not to follow blindly medical mainstream recommendations. Recommendations that work against you time after time. 

Interesting that new knowledge that is proven for many years by many tests takes from 15 to 60 years to get accepted by mainstream. All this time it is ignored by mainstream as nonexistent. 

We have unique combination of our genes in each of our case. Our gut microbiome can switch our paragenetic switches on them on and off based on too many conditions that are too numerous to quote them in here. Presence or absence of certain microbes in our guts can process some of our food successfully or with disastrous effects for our health. Even becoming obese or loosing weight is depends on your gut microbiome. At least that much is proven today. Fecal transplant from healthy thin person makes obese person thin rapidity.

A study conducted by Canada’s Lawson Health Research Institute and Tianyi Health Science Institute in China found a link between healthy aging and a healthy gut, showing that the overall microbiome composition of healthy elderly people was similar the microbiome composition of people who are decades younger. 

What is fascinating that different bacteria and viruses interact between themselves in our guts. Greater variety of our microbiome, healthier a person gets.

So much for help from medical mainstream... excessive medicine and unhealthy hospital food can kill even healthier persons. 

The foods we eat we will either cause or prevent inflammation. All deceases start with inflammation. Foods that cause inflammation include refined carbohydrates, fries and other junk food, soda, processed meats, margarine, and conventionally farmed meat that has been subjected to routine antibiotic and hormone treatments.

On the other side of the spectrum, foods that actively fight inflammation include most of the foods that form part of the Mediterranean diet, including olive oil, green leafy veggies, fatty fish like salmon and tuna, and fresh, organic fruit.

I believe that you should have a fare chance on knowledge that can influence your life. If this is not for you than sorry I took your time and you can go back to your greasy cheeseburgers with whole wheat buns.

Sunscreen, vitamin D and blood pressure.

But today most of us have indoor jobs, and when we do go outside, we’ve been taught to protect ourselves from dangerous UV rays, which can cause skin cancer. Sunscreen also blocks our skin from making vitamin D, but that’s OK, says the American Academy of Dermatology..."

Most people have serious shortage of vitamin D. Most people with low vitamin D in their blood get sick often and have great difficulty getting well. Even getting into deep sleep with paralysis stage for body repairs needs presence of enough vitamin D. People with sleep disorder are low on vitamin D...

Here we have two separate issues. One is getting sunscreen to protect us from sun rays. And another is getting supplements from vitamin D3 to compensate for lack of sun produced vitamin D.

By getting sunscreen people rob themselves from the best source of vitamin D. By feeling more secure to stay longer under direct sunlight and getting excessive cancer causing UV light. This light gets to your skin with or without sunscreen. Just with sunscreen you would not get sunburn. 

There is also issues of getting great deal of poisoning from sunscreen and into your skin. My experience with spray sunscreen was dissolved black plastic cover on my watch. Guess how good this product for your skin...

"Yet vitamin D supplementation has failed spectacularly in clinical trials. Five years ago, researchers were already warning that it showed zero benefit, and the evidence has only grown stronger. In November, one of the largest and most rigorous trials of the vitamin ever conducted—in which 25,871 participants received high doses for five years—found no impact on cancer, heart disease, or stroke."

What researchers here failed to do is to use natural vitamin D3 instead of synthetic supplements. A world of difference. One is not as good as one you can produce yourself by sun exposure but still works. You would feel the difference in your health. 

And synthetic one produces no good effects on your health and can interfere with your absorption of sun produced vitamin. No win situation in this case. All our milk is reinforced with fake vitamin D. As always medical mainstream recommendations work against you. Also taking puny dose of under 1000 IU is beyond ridiculous. No wonder they got no results. 

So far I found Vitamin Code by Garden of Life worked well and helped with raising my immunity. Synthetic brands were as useless as described in this article I quoted. Actually Garden of Life was sold to evil company Nestle. Who knows what they would do to their vitamin D today? Remember supplements are not regulated...

Found another good source of vitamin D3 Premier. 

And this one is promising Chief Original. 

Obviously if you can get to sufficient sun exposure (without sunscreen) about 30 minutes a day on regular bases you would produce perfect vitamin D yourself. If not you may need some healthy supplements but you have to be careful of what is a source of your supplements. After all supplements business is not regulated and sadly people including most researchers do not know the difference.

Obviously exposure to sunlight in moderation and without sunscreen can produce great deal of other  benefits to your health. But medical mainstream is against it and recommends sunscreen poison on us. 

"However, like margarine, early sunscreen formulations were disastrous, shielding users from the UVB rays that cause sunburn but not the UVA rays that cause skin cancer. Even today, SPF ratings refer only to UVB rays, so many users may be absorbing far more UVA radiation than they realize. Meanwhile, many common sunscreen ingredients have been found to be hormone disruptors that can be detected in users’ blood and breast milk."

Amazingly everything medical mainstream recommend always tend to damage your health...

Several studies have actually found that people who routinely use sunscreen are far more likely to develop melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer. And surprisingly, if you do develop melanoma, the higher your previous sun exposure, the less aggressive the form of cancer is likely to be, and the more likely you are to survive it.

And for god sake avoid milk with added vitamin D! This means almost all cow milk sold in any supermarket. I found only one organic milk that doesn’t contain added vitamin D at their whole milk only by Trickling Springs Milk. Also when I used to make kefir out of milk, I used whole milk by Trickling Springs Milk with best results. Kefir bacteria loves it :)

(Do you know that whole milk contains plenty of original vitamin D produced by a cow? And there is no reason to reinforce whole milk with useless and damaging synthetic vitamin D?)

By the way, there is interesting correlation between consumption and exposure to GMO and reduction of level of vitamin D...

Fluoridation of water and pregnancy.

Fascinating article in Daily Beast describing first ever scientific medical test on influence of fluoridated water on noticeable lowering of IQ in offspring.  It raises many interesting aspects on results of fluoridation. Do healthier teeth worth having stupid children? In my opinion if having stupid children is desirable than yes. As long as they have good teeth. You be the judge...

Also I would like to remind you that your water gets fluoridation not from sterile scientific laboratory in USA but from byproduct of Chinese construction industry. With all heavy metal and other wonderful pollutants. Communist China really care about you. If you believe it, than your IQ already too low to care about lowering it even more.

I do not believe in conspiracy but there are no limits to what ignorance multiplied by greed can do.

If you get too close physically to any potential criminal your chances of him leaving your DNA on items he touched later are around 7%.

So this is another reason not to associate too close with wrong doers and to be better judge of characters. 

Even long handshake can leave traces of your DNA on a hand of other person. Your chances leaving traces of your DNA on other person if getting intimate with him are even grater. 

But look at the bright side. If your DNA found at any place of crime, just play innocence and complain about your long handshake habits :)
